Jacques Restaurant – not sure if they have a special Valentine’s offer but worth a visit nevertheless. Brilliant cooking, a relaxed atmosphere and a great wine list. You can be assured to enjoy the food. Call 021 4277387 for more details
Les Gourmandises opened again after refurbishment (just in time for Valentine’s) and if past experience is anything to go by, the food is worth a visit. I haven’t been there since they re-opened, so can’t tell you how it looks. Call 021 4251959 for details
Star Anise is a long established restaurant with a faithful following. The food is amazing, the atmosphere relaxed and it is just around the corner from The Everyman – so ideal if you want an early bird before taking your other half to the theater. Call 021 4551635
