Who we are and what we do

Bia Sasta is trying to bring consumers and food producers together by organising food related events. You will see farm walks, foraging, cooking demos and more on the agenda. We are trying to excite you the way we are about Irish food. Meeting with the food producers directly helps to understand where our food comes from and how hard the life of a farmer can be. Meetings and talks will not only educate you but will also change your attitude towards food. A newsletter informs about upcoming events, includes recipes and much more. To join the newsletter, simply email [email protected].

The Critic’s Club has been created to give diners the opportunity to give feedback on food in restaurants. This is a monthly event with a different restaurant each time (The River Lee Hotel is an exception as we have agreed several events). A tasting menu is created by a chef and the critics are given a questionnaire to answer questions about the food and to give comments. This feedback is anonymous and the chef is receiving a summary of the feedback. This is an important tool for any chef to test dishes before adding it to the menu and offering it to the public. It is also a great opportunity for diners to visit restaurants they might not have been to before. Many diners have returned to the hosting restaurants after the critic’s night. To join, just email [email protected].

We can also organise corporate events for your company. Give us a shout on 087 3168855.

I am also broadcasting a weekly radio show on Cork City Community Radio 100.5 FM every Friday from 11am-12noon where I talk about food and related issues. You can also listen online on www.corkradio.com

In addition to the broadcasting, I write a weekly column for the Cork Independent which is published every Thursday in Cork City.

We are also offering cookery classes, demonstrations and if you need to impress with a dinner party – give us a call.

Bia Sásta is not only about food but also about business. We can help you seeing your food business through your customer’s eyes. Qualified business coach, passionate about food – a perfect combination to help food businesses to succeed. Email for further information on [email protected]
